Living in a Condominium Community: A Condominium Association Board Perspective
Homeowners should always keep in mind that The Ravines is a condominium community and all land within the boundaries of the community are designated either Common Elements (CE) or Limited Common Elements (LCE). This means condominium owners do not personally own the land around their home. As such, condominium owners are asked to be respectful of the other owners' privacy if venturing beyond their designated LCE, as shown on each respective recorded Unit drawing.
It is important to understand that as a condominium community, each owner only owns and controls their respective Unit, the shrubs and flowerbeds around their Unit and their respective driveway and patio. This is by definition the LCE. Everything else is the CE and is the responsibility of the Condominium Association.
Rules and Regulations are adopted to govern the use of the CE and LCE of the Condominium Property, as defined in the recorded Declaration and Bylaws of the Ravines at McCammon Chase Condominium Association. The recorded Declaration and Bylaws may be found at Volume 1491 and page 1675 of the Delaware county records. The Rules and Regulations may be amended from time to time.
Meet The Condominium Association (CA) Board of Directors
The CA Directors are comprised of a three member Board that are elected by the condominium owners of the community. The Board consists of 1) President; 2) Secretary; and 3) Treasurer, who are also condominium owners of the community. The terms of the three Directors are staggered so that the term of one-third (one) of the Directors will expire and a successor is elected at each annual meeting of the Condominium Association. The CA Board are non-compensated volunteers. The only administrative costs incurred by the Condominium Association are for fees charged by the Property Management Company engaged in day-to-day operations of the community.

President
My husband, Bill, and I built our home in The Ravines in 2020. After only one visit to the neighborhood in the dead of winter, we knew it was a special place. As we got to know our Ravines neighbors during the build process, it was clear that we were going to enjoy the people as much as the beauty of the community, and we do. I have recently retired from a 40-year career in the travel industry. The last 25 years were spent with Scotts Miracle-Gro leading the company’s corporate travel and events efforts responsible for large dollar budgeting, negotiations, contracting and administration of the company’s corporate aircraft & commercial travel programs as well as event management services. My work experience and skills should prove useful and I look forward to working on behalf of everyone in the community. My Board term ends June 2027.
Treasurer
My wife Michele and I moved here three years ago from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area to be closer to our grandchildren. Since then we’ve really grown to appreciate the natural beauty and wonderful residents of this community.
After service as a naval officer on nuclear submarines, I had a variety of operating and finance roles at Procter & Gamble, Delta Air Lines, and Fidelity Investments. My experience working across various functions and industries has helped me to appreciate the many factors that go into decisions and the value of working collaboratively. I’m happy to play a role in supporting our association. My board term ends June 2028.
Secretary
My wife, Kathy, and I built our home in The Ravines in 2021. We chose this small neighborhood because we love all of the trees, the peaceful surroundings, the great neighbors and a simpler lifestyle. My experience includes 6 years in the Army as a Finance Specialist. Next, I spent a number of years in a corporate logistics management role. And for the past 38 years I have started and run 6 different businesses. I feel the extent and diversity of my professional experience can be useful in my Board position. I chose to serve on the Board to contribute to keeping this community one of the best in the area. My Board term ends June 2026.
